Dr. Brugada,
This is a letter to thank you for your dedication to helping others. Two years ago, our son (26 at the time), was diagnosed with Brugada syndrome. He now wears a defibrillator and lives a normal life. The doctors recommended that our daughter be checked for this disease as well. Finding someone to give us the answers we needed was almost impossible, because so few doctors are familiar with this disease or its diagnosis. Through much researching, we found your wonderful website. Through this website, we found so many facts and so much support. You were able to help us find the answers we needed and send us in all the right directions. Your caring and devotion to the study of this disease and the families that it could potentially destroy amazes us. You were available to talk to us and help in any way you could. We felt as though we were talking to a family friend. We hope your patients know how fortunate they are to have someone with your knowledge and kindness. Because of you, we now know how to monitor our daughter's health and the courses we need to take.
Thank you again for everything, may God bless you and bring you all the happiness you deserve, and we truly hope that every star you reach for is a star within your reach. Please let us know any new information that you find on this devastating disease.
